Since 1986

I have received both my bachelor degree in Economics and Master in Business Administration from Utah State University. While I was pursuing the graduate degree, my advisor introduced me to Dr. Maria Montessori’s method of educating young children. Because of the tremendous love I’ve always felt for children, I knew that was what I wanted to do with my life!

After completing my Montessori Teacher Certificate from Association Montessori Internationale (AMI), I taught and administered some schools in the Bay Area. In 1986, I founded Good Neighbor Montessori in Palo Alto, and have been administrating it since its inception. Today, Good Neighbor Montessori has the leading Montessori program in Palo Alto that successfully educated hundreds of young children, who are spread out all over the world!

In my spare time I love to travel, read inspirational books, tend my garden, hike, bike, cook, play piano, and learn new languages. I speak English, French, Japanese, Farsi and Turkish.

I would like to call Good Neighbor Montessori’s style of practice today as an “Evolved Montessori.” GNM has open classrooms, where children can easily move within different Montessori areas, as their hearts desire. After more than a few decades of experience in the Montessori field, this is my understanding of what Dr. Maria Montessori wished for the young child’s education.

Since 1995

I have received my Bachelor of Science from Mechanical Engineering Institute Leningrad in Russia. I have completed the AMI Assistant Teachers training program from Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). Throughout the years I’ve taken many child development classes. Also, I am certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid for Children, and Infants.

I appreciate the Montessori approach to child development and am happy to be part of the GNM community. Children have always inspired me, and being around them has been my passion for life. I love singing, gardening, being creative with arts and crafts, and find joy in doing all these activities with the children.

And the best potty-trainer on the West Coast!

Since 2000

I completed my Montessori Teacher Certificate from Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). I graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Art degree in Elementary Education and obtained my Communication Certificate. Also, I am certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid for Children, and Infants.

I was born and raised in Palo Alto, CA. I’ve gone through the Palo Alto School District and graduated from Henry M. Gunn High School. I’ve wanted to be a Preschool Teacher since I was in second grade, and I’m so lucky to be living my dream!

In my spare time I enjoy card making, scrapbooking, walking, cooking, traveling, singing, reading and photography. You’ll see my pictures throughout our school, and I also make scrapbooks for the Good Neighbor Montessori children.
