The Child who has felt a strong love for his surroundings and for all living creatures, who has discovered joy and enthusiasm in work, gives us reason to hope... hope for peace in the future.

October 2011

We have now ended the first month of the school year successfully! It has been a smooth transition and the children as they are working and practicing their old lessons and learning new ones. It is amazing to see how well the children are adapting to the new environment.

Virtue of the month: RESPECT. Throughout the day children are reminded of this virtue, through role-playing or by other students. During circle time we talk about ways they have portrayed “respect” to each other and/or with their parents.

Halloween Parade: Monday, Oct. 31 @ 3:00pm

October 2010

Finally we’re getting back into the hang of things as the kids are settling back into their routines and teachers back into their normal sleep patterns. This month in Practical Life the children will be learning how to care for themselves, introduction to Metal Insets, how to use scissors, respect from others and their space and how to cut paper as well as vegetables. In Math they will be learning the Sand Paper Numbers. We will be preparing for our Halloween songs.

We saw so many beautiful costumes like: a dinosaur, pilot, princess, fairy, garbage man, different animals, and a type of candy. The kids were so happy to see their friends dressed up and being able to share that was a wonderful treat!

Don’t Forget: Halloween Party is on Friday Oct. 29 at 3:15pm!
