The Child who has felt a strong love for his surroundings and for all living creatures, who has discovered joy and enthusiasm in work, gives us reason to hope... hope for peace in the future.

March

March 2012

Our virtue for this month was Honest, we asked the kids what they learned and this is what some of them said:

Ethan K.: If someone takes something away, you ask them to give it back.

Zoe: When you tell the truth… let’s say you get a candy and you have to tell your mommy you really did.

Sonali: Telling the truth.

Tarahneh: One time I was gonna get something (the other half of a marshmallow) but I already had a half, and I didn’t find it so I didn’t eat it.

Thank you to Ethan K’s dad for coming to talk to the children about the Solar System! The kids enjoyed all your fun presentation!

What did the kids learn from the Solar System presentation?

Selah:  When things are far away they are so little, and when they are close there so big.

Tasman: (in response to the bacteria presentation in January) I learned that white blood cells can attack humans through germs.

Destinni: He showed me the Earth.

Sonali: I learned about the planets.

Ezri: When the sun is so far from the earth it looks like a tiny bead.

Ethan K.: The earth goes round the sun and the moon goes round the earth.

Zoe: The Lunar Lander lands on the moon and the astronauts get out and walk on the moon.

We ordered butterflies to come for the month of March. Children enjoyed watching their eggs hatch into caterpillars and then move along their cycle until they became butterflies. They are beautiful!

Ezri: The butterflies have heart wings.

Rylie: They fly away.
