April 2011
Welcome back from Spring Break, we hope everyone enjoyed spending time with his or her children. During this month we began learning about insects, especially the butterfly. We ordered caterpillars and the children are eagerly waiting for their arrival! We also learned about Earth Day and what it means to conserve. We are encouraging children to use both sides of the paper and waste less. Please help us by continuing this at home.
During our morning circle in regards to Earth Day (Apr. 22)
Saira: “Why don’t we live in other planets?”
Teacher: “Who can answer that question?”
Naomi: “Other planets don’t have milk and corn”
Jason: “Other planets don’t have moons and fires, and we never go to space”
Saira: “Maybe it’s because there’s no water in other planets”
Katie: “Because that’s how God made us”
Cassidy: “We aren’t on Earth, we are at Montessori preschool. If we give earth water it will grow bigger”
Ethan R.: “Because there is no gravity”
Tarahneh: “Because the other planets have strangers”
Ezri: “Because it is black?”
Saira: “Because it is night time all the time”
